The Pringle family arrived at Shaw Hall July 1981, and over the next 30 years have developed the Park to customer’s expectations, with constant attention to customer demands and the changes in what they require in a holiday home.

The site had few amenities at the time but founder, Alec Pringle, had the vision and determination to develop it into the first class park that it is today, and his family have continued his dream with the same passion and enthusiasm. 

Customer expectations have changed in 30 years with people looking for larger plots for their larger state of the art holiday homes.

Back in 1981, Alec could see how, what was then a mere shed, could be the luxurious club-house we now have, providing probably the best year-round, on-site entertainment in the north west of England. 

Alison, Sally and Andrew have since gone on to acquire a second park near York, Cawood Park, which offers the same hospitality and warm welcome as Shaw Hall. Cawood is also growing at a pace and many Shaw Hall touring visitors now see it as a great alternative option to visit andthey  know they can expect the same level of customer care.

Alison says, “Dad had great expectations for the business and we’ve had a wonderful time helping to fulfil it. Over the last 30 years we’ve met some fantastic people and great characters, and we can certainly tell some stories.”
